Your child’s safety is always at the heart of what we do. Each of our Kind Hearts nurseries and preschools has secure entry procedures, robust safeguarding practices and experienced, appropriately trained teams who work together to create an environment where children can feel safe, settled and confident to explore.
We know that feeling secure is about more than physical safety, too. Familiar adults, consistent routines and strong relationships help children develop a real sense of belonging — because children are free to explore and learn when they feel safe and understood.
We believe children need space to move, explore, investigate and sometimes get a little messy! Outdoor play is an important part of life at Kind Hearts, giving children opportunities to develop their confidence, independence, physical skills and curiosity through first-hand experiences.
Our outdoor environments offer opportunities for active play, discovery and learning throughout the day, with experiences adapted to the children using them. Whether they’re digging, building, balancing, investigating nature or creating their own games, there is always something to discover.
You know your child better than anyone, which is why we see parents and carers as an important part of their early years journey. We keep families connected through our online parent platform, where you can receive updates and share information with your child’s key person and the wider team.
But good communication doesn’t stop at an app. From everyday conversations at drop-off and collection to settling-in updates and working together when a child needs a little extra support, we want families to feel informed, listened to and involved.
We want funded early education to be genuinely accessible to families. Kind Hearts offers government-funded childcare places for eligible children, including funded hours for eligible working families and the universal and extended entitlements for 3 and 4-year-olds.
We offer flexible attendance patterns wherever possible, helping families use their funded hours in a way that works around their needs. Funded early education hours are provided free at the point of delivery, and we’ll always explain clearly how funding works at your chosen Kind Hearts setting, including any optional or additional services and consumables.
We believe every child is capable of amazing things. Children develop in different ways and at different times, and our job isn’t to focus on what a child can’t do — it’s to understand what they need in order to take part, learn and succeed.
Our experienced early years teams adapt activities, environments and approaches to help remove barriers to learning and participation. Where a child needs additional support, we work closely with families and other professionals to make sure they are understood, included and given every opportunity to thrive.
Inclusion at Kind Hearts isn’t something we provide for a small group of children — it’s the way we approach every child.
